A Retort Pouch is a high-performance flexible packaging pouch designed to withstand high temperature sterilization. These pouches are used for packaging ready-to-eat (RTE) food, processed food, and liquid products that require long shelf life without refrigeration. During the retort process, the filled pouch is heated at high temperatures (around 121°C to 135°C) to sterilize the contents and eliminate bacteria.

Retort pouches are widely used in the food processing, military food supply, and ready-meal packaging industries because they provide the convenience of canned food with lighter and more flexible packaging.
